About the Artist
Helen Rose Hennessy

Helen, an award winning artist, and her husband and business manager, Rick, run the SEA ROSE GALLERY, the artist’s seaside home and studio, at 325 Long Beach Avenue in York Beach, Maine.

A retired RN, Helen also holds a BA in ART and has painted with noted art instructors in the seacoast area. Noted for colorful local scenes, Helen specializes in seascapes, landscapes and floras.

Her work can be seen year round at Lobster Cove Restaurant in York Harbor, at the Dolphin Striker Restaurant in Portsmouth, NH and at the SEA ROSE GALLERY in York, ME. She exhibits during the regular season, May-Oct, at the York Art Association in York Harbor, ME.

Helen is a member and past President (2006) and currant Vice-President of the York Art Association.She has participated in York's Annual Art in the Park; Yorks Chamber of Commerce Annual Harvest Fest Events; Maine Women in the Arts Summer and Christmas Prelude Shows in Kennebunkport,ME; Annual Art Source, Y.M.C.A Events in Portsmouth, NH; Art of Great Bay Events in Greenland, NH; Seacoast Aids Response Events, Portsmouth, NH and Portsmouth Reginal Hospitals solo Art Exhibitions.

Artist’s Statement: We are custodians of the worlds’ beauty. We strive to create in our limited way what only the Creator has created perfectly. What joy to perhaps at times capture but a tiny reflection of the world’s majestic beauty and to share it with others.
